Default Which mod first

I'm trying to decide on a halltech venom or a zo6 titanium exhaust. Which one would yield the biggest gain on a stock c5. Is the x pipe a worthwhile mod if i don't plan on doing headers?

The Ti will add MAYBE 2-3 ponies. The intake more. I'd think about a Vararam if I was you.

The Ti while not a loud catback, does have a real nice sound to it though.

I think it is a toss up to which adds more power. The stock catback is pretty crappy. Maybe you could do the catback and just do the zip-tie mod for the air cleaner till you get more money.

I doubt the Ti's will only gain 2-3 HP considering most will argue the fact that power-wise they're very similar to an aftermarket catback. I would say go w/ Ti to at least make it sound a little better than stock which is silent in comparison. FWIW LT's with an ORX and Ti's is perfect IMO (not too loud and not too quiet).

get the vararam and just chop the stock mufflers off and do straight pipes with tips. Enough of a gain to notice a difference and sounds pretty mean too. No point in doing x pipe if ur not going headers. OBX seems to have a nice header/xpipe setup for cheap if u decide on doing the exhaust work.

Most aftermarket catbacks only give you 2-3 ponies too....

Yes, but that is 2-3 ponies over the stock Ti catback. Thats why most guys just go for aftermarket catbacks for the sound.

Base C5 tips look horrible to me... I'd get the Ti for the look, light weight, little better sound, and power. You can find them as low as $300

For air intakes I would ONLY do the Vararam. My Zo6 already had a Blackwing and I guess it's alright, but my cash would be on the VR

Port you own throttle body... coolant bypass.... descreen the mass-air meter....

Don't waste your money on the x-pipe. A dyno tune would be a better use of cash since you can alter the torque managment and tranny settings...

Don't get dad new socks or a grill brush this year.
