Lets talk C6Z MODS!
Of course I already want to buy a bunch of crap for it!!!
LS7 Kings....Here you go...
What valvetrain?
What Cam?
What is my max RPM on the LS7 with a built valvetrain?
Which short shifter? Hurst? OR try try something different....
Where can I buy the rear diffuser?
Which tires besides the Pilot 345s.....
Any Toyo or Nittos?
What is the factory rear tire size?
Sway bars?
Seats?
I don't have much advice to offer but the 1st thing I was going to do was add PP valve springs and a set of real rockers, well that and MTI heads, cam, New LG 1 7/8 Super Pro's, a decent clutch and a 125 shot. I know I would have blown it for sure.
Seats LG Motorsports or Carraviggo WAY TOO MUCH MONEY THOUGH
Check Arzine (spelling) they have awesome seats with great price.
Sway bars Stock will work IMO Unless you go to the track a lot.
Diffusier Breathless performane
Check this ZO6 out we build and tuned in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia all parts from Ron@VengeanceRacing.

nahh... not for the powerful. Maybe as a DD tire but,..not if your gonna try and break hearts on the street with a powerful car.
Go with the R888's or nitto road/street race.
For the LS7..... whats your budget?
Long tubes,...vararam,...and tune,...should be a mandatory upgrade for ANY stock or NA Y body car. You'll make good enough power to beat most cars, with that setup. If you want more but,..still on a realistic budget,... drop a hundered shot,..wet,... and your good to go.
Want more?.... buy a cam and valvetrain.
Shifter? I like hurst but,..other people complain about it(weak wrists).
Diffuser?.... which one....KAtech? Z06R? Callaway.
Any more qustion newb?

)Hurst+Delrin it is! I loved it in my C5Z.
I'll do the norm...Vararam, Tune, Tires..
So what size 888's...They don't make the right sizes..
The Invo won't work for what I'm going to be doing...

Kooks and American racing headers is what most shops like to install since the fitment is a snap.
For the CAI, I would go with the honker from callaway.

For the mileage its a great price BTW That car have $7000 wheels and tires.

For looks, that thing is great.
Performance, it is always a bad idea to have just one part of a system. Anytime downforce is changed, the suspension should be re-optimized.
splitter+wing+diffuser+undertray=success
I can't really say to what extent the performance is changed because the effect of that spoiler hasn't actually been studied, just SOTP feel.
So it could range from not being a big deal, to one that reintroduces lift into the car.
With the Kooks headers and catted X-pipe, 160 degree T-stat, Vararam and NGK TR55s, the car put down 494.04whp and 472.08wtq SAE in 100 degree heat and 30% humidity (1.02 CF, 100.79 deg F, 30% RH)
Stock shifter even on the 2008 is a little sloppy IMO, but nothing like in a coupe. I just installed the MGW shifter last week with their race ****. Huge difference. There's no way in hell I will ever miss third again with this shifter. You can just slam it forward out of second and it goes right into third. It's like a little joystick now.
I am currently running Nitto Invo tires (345/30/19 rear and 275/35/18 front). I have my eyes on the Nitto NT-05s to put on a different set of wheels (probably comp gray OEM take offs) to tear up at the track.
For aerodynamics, I plan the following:
Katech carbon fiber spoiler (brand new design - hasn't even started shipping yet)
OEM ZR1 carbon fiber front splitter with bracing
APR carbon fiber side diffusers (also fairly new offering)
Breathless Performance rear diffuser with LED backup lights (quad exhaust design)
Other items on my list for future upgrade:
Pfadt sport shocks
Pfadt street sway bars
Pfadt camber kit
Performance rotors and pads, stainless steel brake lines, performance fluid
I already have an oil catch can that I will use only when tracking the car
Sparco seat(s) with harness bar and 5 point harness(es) for the track
But even bone stock, this car is a hell of a beast. I'd take some time to get used to it as it sits before throwing too much power at it. It can get away from you real quick. Remember these things only weight about 3100 pounds. Bone stock I pulled half a car length on a built Trans Am (60 MPH roll to 130). With his 430rwhp + 100 shot, he was easily over 500 at the wheels whereas I was at the time only putting down about 430.
Pistons are the weak link. Before blowing or spraying, I would change out the pistons.

And thanks, I think.

That silver one you linked has 360 Forged wheels on it. Those wheels alone are $5-6K if you were to buy them. And that car has the APR front splitter on it already.
No way to tell if it was ragged out or not, but considering it was around primarily to show off the wheels, the miles are probably all highway from running around to different shows. Contact the guys at 360 Forged and ask them about it.

I don't want to get my hopes up yet...Penkse Coilovers and Stop Tech brakes, that's all I'm saying...
I am have a answer in the next hour or so...
