LPE 346 C.I. Vette goes 9.98 @ 149 Last Sunday was a blast.. One of my friends was getting his Vette back from LPE and they brought it to the track to do some Testing and Tuning.. It just happened to be the Import Vs Domestic shootout at MIR..
Well this was his first time driving the car with this much RWHP.. so he took it easy on his first pass... As he said.. Just like he would on street tires.. His 60' was 1.98 and all I can say.. was that the car looked like a snail off the line.. but then top end the the car was gone... When they announced 9.98.. everyone was so shocked.. But what is more amazing is the MPH..149..
He was only able to make 1 pass the whole day.. got to the track at 8am.. and by 5:30.. only 1 passes.. the track was to crowded, so we decided to wait until another day..
I cant wait to see what this beast is going to do next..

He actually had a rollbar installed and bought a fire jacket, 2 days before the event. But they didnt say anything about it...
It was funny tho, when he went thru tech, the tech official was looking at the engine and DJ say'd.."looks stock, doesnt it"... Tech official said yep..
It was the biggest event of the year, so I think they were slack'n alittle..
