Thanks,
I got a little delayed due to vacation/dyno only open every other saturday but I'm set to go this Sat morning. It's a DJ and I'll post a new thread when I get back that afternoon. My tuner may go with me and see if he can fine-tune his OLSD tune on the dyno. He tuned it on the street with a wideband at about 12.8 - 12.9:1 AFR at the upper rpms so it's pretty safe. I should be around 11.3-11.4:1 comp ratio and was only reading the occasional 1 deg of knock up high.

The predator doug will report the speed that it's seeing but, since it's based on the inputs from the vehicle it's attached too, it's only as accurate as the information given from the vehicle.

If it was GPS,....that'd be a hell of alot different hommie.

And if I were you i'd just keep what you've got for now, have fun,....plan for future mods.

Honestly I'll be happy w/ 440RWHP/400RWTQ but hoping for 450+RWHP/410+RWTQ. My setup was originally spec'd to deliver 440+ w/ GM MLS gaskets and I upped compression and improved quench w/ the cometic 0.040's. I'm not too dead set on numbers either as I'll be headed to the track later this summer to see what she'll trap.

I am sure you'll hit the 440 rwhp. Definately !!! I bet 455 rwhp 420 rwtq !! As far as trap speeds go, it should be very good for the power level. If you can shift fast and 60 foot pretty well then you'll run mid 11's and 123+ mph with the gearing in that MN12 trans.

Best of luck, and again big props for DIY !!

Went for a ride with Doug. WOW!! It pulled like a freight train past 157MPH. Thoroughly impressive!! We couldn't go faster for safety's sake. I was a little nervous, (as I was not the driver). Absolutely smooth as glass. 6th gear @ 40MPH and no bucking or jerking. Vengence did a great job with the tune. The last time I rode, power was good, but the driveability was not. Car was pig rich, smell fuel, bucked and jerked, and would not idle right after startup. I would not be happy after spending a ton of money with those results. What a difference. Easily a 10 second car, I've been in a few. Time to shore up the rest of the driveline. You may be breaking some parts with that power!! Keep her between the lines, Doug!! Thanks for the thrill ride.

Thanks for coming out Brian. I really wanted to take you to 200 !!! We agreed not to go that fast though. Thanks for letting me go past your 140 max LOL !!! Had to show you how hard 5th gear pulls. Believe me it pulls even harder up top. I am willing to bet if my Rev limiter was higher she'd have kept on pulling. SO strong and smooth up top. So much power, but tame enough for a little ole' lady to drive back and fourth to church. WIth the cutouts closed of course.

If the power adder project falls through then I will still consider tightening up the handling. Coilovers and better sway bars along with a few other goodies are definately on the menu.

Thanks for your perspective on the tranny questions. I'd like a trans that is geared for 62 mph in first ! Also a 6th gear that is usable to 6400+ rpms. Anyways I'm starting to babble. Going to lunch, as always thanks for your opinions.
Isn't that the truth. I did a cam first, then heads and intake, and just recently did a new clutch, transmission, and rear diff/gears.

Each time was a great improvement, and leaves you wanting more!!

I hear you man, but I already have my estimate in front of me as we speak. Just have to wait and see how OT keeps coming or dries up.

Is that what "she" said?

I agree Mike at Vengenace is the driving force... from what I've heard he's got the skill and is easy to get along with.
