I'm 26, had my C5 for almost 3 years. Pulled over once, it was actually in the last month too. 35mph in a 30! got let go (cop was being a dick since I was just outside of our local drag strip). I generally drive pretty slow, or with the pace of traffic. If you give yourself a reason to stand out in the crowd, or get mouthy with a cop ...you will get a ticket. I choose empty roads or tracks to play on when I need to act stupid

Cops tend to pull over junkier vehicles as there's more chance of a drug bust or DUI. If they pull over a Corvette, they're probably just bored. Besides, Corvette owners care about their cars and don't normally endanger them by driving recklessly.
I can see how it might be suspicious for a younger person to be driving one, especially a newer one. The car could be stolen or it might be their parents', in which case it's good the cops check on them..
Just follow the 'old man' corvette rule -- drive 10 under the speed limit until you're absolutely sure no one will see you.. then GO.

That right there is no joke i would drive the thing. I use to be the same way but there is no point in just letting it set. On a side note got a speeding ticket June 27th in the TA then bought a C6 z06 with procharger on the 29th. Should be here next week. Here in nebraska you can take a speeding class where the ticket will not show up on your record. The ticket was 170 and the class was 144 but since i am taking the class i dont have to pay the ticket only the class. The class can be taken only once every 3 years.

Well, I've had my car for 2 weeks and so far I've been just fine driving 70MPH on the freeway and 40MPH on the streets. In fact I get a kick out of throwing her in 6th at 40MPH (1000RPM) and watching the instant MPH go between 37 and 40... It's sometimes more amusing than speeding since it does better on the streets than most hondas. Of course, I didn't buy the car for economy, but my driving habits make it a bonus.
So cops don't bug me at all... yet.

depends on the cop, Im 25 got pulled for seatbelt (which i was wearing) he mentioned my illegal exhaust, lights, tint, and i didnt have the right insurance card. He was a state trooper about my age and let me go free and clear. Just be polite and they're usually nice.

im 25, back in 2005-2006 i accumulated 17 tickets here in northeast texas in my old camaro.. it was much faster than my stock c5, much louder, illegal tint, and no front plate.. so it was really just a recipe for a ticket!! i think it is all in how you present your car.. wreckless and loud, or calm, clean and quiet.. so i don't think i will ever go back to straight exhaust again.. and i will keep this vette looking like it does now, like a new one!

I am 20 bought her as a birthday present to myself two years ago(had a perfect record til then and I have had several fast/loud cars). After I got it for about 4 months I was pulled over for taillight covers, accelerating to quickly(didn't break the speed limit of 35 or spin tires),the g-friend (now wife) got pulled over for going 3mph over in a 55, and have been followed many, many miles and it has all been by the same trooper.
He is no longer employed by the state ( mom's best friend is a senators daughter, it pays to be connected). Haven't had any problems in 18 months now.

I'm 21, H/C, lomgtubes, o/r x, borla stingers, dark windows and I have yet to be pulled over driving it every day (knock on wood). I got pulled over in my old cobra a few times and my brother got some massive tickets in his cobra where he had to pop the hood and such. I have a perfect record though besides wrecking my bike.

Key is to driving stealthily!
Scariest cop encounter for me in the vette goes as follows:
EVO VIII friend and I leaving MSR because my car needs tuning (Read... WOT or NO throttle, none of this part throttle business) and at the time it had straight pipes and one very visible cam. Didn't help that my speedo didn't work for beans.
Got pretty funny looks trying to climb out of the car safely to talk to him. He didn't like it when I fired the car back up and had to merge back into traffic. Soooo freakin' happy that the car fired right back up and didn't pool gas haha. Got let off, happy as a clam and just cruised in 5th @2500 the remainder up to the shop.

Cops here in Houston are dirtbags.
No not all of them, but a majority.
