best LSX shop around???
My brother just got his 06' C6 back from Jason Hill. Jason had the car for about a year and a half and fully built the entire exterior, suspension, some of the interior, but the motor is stock. He was going to do the STS TT kit with full bolt ons until the car was unvieled to him at Heat Wave in Austin, TX a couple weeks ago. Once he saw the final outcome of the car he immeadiately decided to go with some serious motor work... pretty nasty H/C setup but wants a quality(but timely) shop. He lives in Louisiana but doesnt care where... he will trailer this thing anywhere, he just wants someone with a lot of experience and a well recommended shop. He also is not dead set on any mods and is VERY easy to talk into going wild on a build so could be interesting! I'll try to upload a pic of it. Thanks for all your input.

Feel free to give me a call. We have the fastest C6/C6Z06 in the world right now. We just build another C6Z with a 100% stock engine with nitrous that went 9.46 @143. Do a search on Corvette forum for our reputation. We also have a few videos on youtue you can look at.

Sounds awesome thanks! I was stationed in Dover for 4 years so I am very familiar with good ol' DE. I called Scotty and let him know, he said he would give you a call tomorrow to talk about builds and so on.
Thanks again

I've dealt with several vendors over the years, and I will also recommend Vengeance Racing. My results are in my sig, but the things you can't see are what made the experience.
They delivered what they said they would, in a timely manner. They didn't try and sell me unnecessary extras, and I have always felt like they were honest with me.

As soon as he actually takes some pics i will post em up... the pic in the original post was a cell phone pic. I'm just trying to help him out since he is computer slow! the car is actually just a C6 with all Z bodywork... that's why he wants lots of HP, he said he cant rep a Z06 the way it is now! He already made a 10k$ bet with a friend of his that has a supersnake... SS owner is a terrible driver and will not be running radials so it should be an easy kill with just H/C setup, but knowing Scotty he will have more than that! I will be sure and post a whole new thread with some better pics and keep ya'll updated!

Everyone is going to have an opinion on who is the BEST shop. I prefer Lamar Walden in Atlanta. If money were no object, then send the car to Lingenfelter.
A better question is what should I look for in a good shop?
1) If possible use a local shop. There are no amount of phone calls that can replace checking out a problem in person. Ask around at some local shows and see who stands out.
2) Find someone with years of LS experience, preferably on a Vette.
3) Find a shop that has been around for a while. There are a lot of performance shops that are her today, gone tomorrow. Some are even well known. If the shop has been there for 30 years, then they are doing something right.
4) Go talk to the guys at the shop. If they take time to answer questions, then that is a good first step.
Good luck with your build.
