Driveshaft problem, need advice.
Now I'm working on replacing the clutch and gears, I decided to inspect the driveshaft bushings while I have it out, look what I found.

According to the service manual, this 'snubber' is designed to prevent driveshaft damage when downshifting. The lower portion shown in this picture clearly has wear on it.

Here we see the residue left inside the torque tube.
Should I go any further with this and check the driveshaft runout, or just replace the entire torque tube assembly?

So have you talked with LG or breathless about the replacment options? I havent talked to anyone about upgrades, except I heard that LG might have a source for a carbon fiber conversion for $2000.
I have found a new in box, Z06 assembly for $600. I will probably go that route.
What happens when its all gone?

We just tore down the Torque Tube in the '99. Good thing too! We fabbed some new alum. to replace the rubber couplers but are concerned about the shaft and the flex plate. Is there a SFI flexplate or does anyone have a real shaft?
We are currently running an Extreme Street TripleLok converter with 4500 stall. We Dynoed at 701rwhp but are still playin with the tune.
When are you guys starting to break and what?
