i think everyone has called it like they see it...and im no different. I have a buddy who works on my Z who owns an 01 C5Vert mind you. He has an LS3 bored and stroked to a 418ci. He made 550 to the ground w/o the bottle. Got into it with 2 C6Z's...one stock the other boltons. He wore the stock one out pretty good. Taking him by nearly 3 cars by 130....the other was closer. No more than 2. Some of you guys may know him. Kris Keltner. He ran 9.81 in the 1/4 at memphis...spraying obviously.

With the mods I have, I put down 444whp and 413TQ on the dyno. Granted, dyno numbers are fairly generic and can be decieving so I know that really doesn't do the car justice. I need to get it to the track and get some e.t.'s but for now I need an opinion. I am still on street tires and LS6 intake(I know), with these mods and I am a pretty good driver, hpw do you think the outcome would be with me roll racing a full exhaust, intake, tune C6 Z06 who is also on street tires?
In our camp we have a bolton C6Z running very low 10's and a heads/cam c5Z that ran even faster.

I'm with these guys, I don't think you'll be able to take a bolt-on Z. Stock would be a good run for you, even if you lost it'd be close, but they just gain way too much from basic mods.

Meh they arnt as mythical as everyone is perceiving them to be.
I seen a 08' C6 Z06 with a Cam, Ported Stock Heads, Ported Intake Mani/TB, Full Exhaust, Vararam, iforged wheels on M/T Drag Radials (lighter then stock) and a tune (580+) lose to a 91 Mustang GT from a 40 roll (306ci and some gas)
Guy in the vette could drive too
Just get some n2o

I made 443 whp and 399tq in my c5z and got beat by a stock C6Z from a roll. I ran a Z with headers, fast intake, haltech (SP?) intake, and a tune since I changed my cam and added a blower. From 55-60ish he jumped me hard since he could go from second and I was going from 3rd. From a higher roll it was a little different. I pulled him. Not terribly hard, but I was out front none the less. Those C6Zs are some nasty little bastards.

From what Ive seen (I worked at a dyno) the 08's put down more power than the previous years with the stock tune, but it all equalled out after the tune. With stock ones I have seen as low as 412rwhp and as high as 475rwhp, so that doesnt seem to far fetched to see 480 with a cold air.
