missfire question

Default missfire question

I have an 02 zo6. I have a missifre cylinder 1 primairily but the scan tool also showed there had been some in 3,5, and 7 as well. I have replaced a coil pack because I thought that was it, then all new plugs, and all new wires, I tried a new fuel injector. Here is what makes it very hard to diagnose. It will not missifire at all times. at idle it will only do it after it has been running for about 1 minute. when driving if it stays low in the rpms, below 2k, for a while it will do it but I van make it go away by giving it gas brining the rpms in the2k-3k range. I just replaced my o2 simulators as well and there is no codes for 02 sensors. the only code That is coming up is the p0300. There is also my service abs, service tcs, and service active handling,...and service column lock. I know thats a lot but im at my wits end with this car. If it helps diagnose any further everything but the service abs,tcs,and active handling all happened after I took it to have a new trans put in along with new clutch and flywheel. the shop was a nightmare to deal with so taking it back there is out of the question.

Could be a weird grounding issue causing the PCM to act crazy. You have more than one module indicating that service is needed, that is odd...

all on the drivers side. Start checking the coil harness. I've seen it happen before where the wires break and cause issues on one side. Just a thing to look at. Also there is a ground on the drivers side head under the cowl, check there as it causes all sorts of issues if loose

Thank you for the input guys, looks like I have lots of wires and grounds to run through today. I will let you know how it goes.

I had some wires melted on an o2 sensor, acted the same way

easy way to start weeding out problems, would be allow it to run, and check for spark. they have tools that you can put in between the plug and coil pack. or just pull it out and stick a scew driver into it and see if it will arch. if it is, you just canceled out spark. while its running pull cyl #1's injector, if its pissing fuel, you just canceled out fuel. then you can check MAP, and MAF sensors. they will cause a missfire. Im sorry your having these issues. good luck!

Yea I did all that hahah, maybe i missed something... its at new era performance now and they will figure it out for me, I couldnt take it anymore. I work to many hours and just dont have the time to do it myself. when i was working on the car i wouldnt be able to start until like 10pm. thanks for all your help though guys.

New Era Performance figured it out! The ******* transmission shop hooked up my o2 sensors completely wrong....so yeah bug props to New Era and as for the tranny shop.....see you in court.

im currently having a problem just like yours... can you explain what exactly they hooked up wrong?
