Want a AGRESSIVE CAM for z06 Hey guys..
I want to put a CAM in the z06. I want to keep the stock heads for now. I want something agressive, but something that can be driven daily. Im very close to vette doctors and willing to make the trip to Cartek. What do you guys recommend. Car is totally STOCK right now, only had her for 1 month. My plan is to throw on longtubes and off road x before the cam.
Also what kind of power do you think ill make? What mph traps?

You can pretty much get any cam you want from most tuners. LPE has a nice cam that may fit your desires.....228/228/.588/.588/114(it might be 224 on the duration). Fairly aggressive on the intake and duration and the 114LSA helps with driveability. In any event, the difference between insane lopey aggressive and absolute stealth/almost stock idle is 20rwhp at the most. You may be one of the types that needs every hp but you really start sacraficing when you get to the end of the spectrum for not much increase in hp.
Expect 400rwhp from mild to near 420rwhp with alot of shake rattle and roll. Your trapspeeds will be in line with the power you make. 400rwhp in a ZO6 is around 120mph(most I have seen is 122). Good luck. Call the guy at East side. Also try the guys you spoke of....Vette Doctors, Cartek. Try MTI. ANd don't forget Lou at LGM.
I have found Lou to be very helpful without trying to cram his product down your throat. It's good to talk to all these people and then you can make a decision on what you think is best for your needs. Good luck.

LPEs two LS1 cams on their website are 207/220 .573/.580 w/ 1.7 rockers 117.5 CL and the other is 218/229 .560/.560 w/ 1.7 rockers 113 CL. But the is a plethora of LS1 cams out there that are aggressive. Thunder Racing, MTI, LPE, ARE, LGM are all names in this game that can definatly help you out. And I dont have first hand experience w/ Lou but just knowing his name and rep, he's a stand up guy. And the people @ LPE are very curtious and answer your question(s) ASAP (that i know first hand). Been hearing a lot of people going for this new i think its G5x2 cam. Dont know the specs on it, but its supposedly pushin some pretty good #s.

I ran 10.86 @ 123 mph in my A4 vette with stock heads and the M2 cam from MMT.
That was also in a heavy coupe, a ZO6 set-up right should fly.
