if you want to do an LS swap, save your dollars and get a used C5. much better vette than the C4.

Nothing wrong with a 91 C4. I enjoy mine every chance I get. Some have mentioned getting great power results if matched correctly. They also look good when done right. I have had mine nine years now. Personally I would look for a clean C4 and mod it from there. I wouldn't do an LS swap although it is possible and had been done. I would direct the funds on what is existing and achieve the same results. Don't get me wrong, an LS engine is very respectable and has proven to be a competitive contender. Just my opinion.

Nice car , is that TPI ?

the problem with the c4s i see that most of them got bad condition interior , and I dont like being in a car that has broken parts everywhere .

how is tha handling with your c4 ?

what things that you don't like in the car ?

I never been interested in white vettes , but your car is awesome man

Thank you! I enjoy it very much. Yes, it has a the original TPI in it. No major power mods as of yet. The interior is in good condition and everything works. The car has 130,000 on the clock. I went through everything and cleaned her up.

The handling is great for a 91. I also have a 98 Vette and quite honestly the 91 doesn't compare. There are only a few things I don't like about the 91. Rattles, water collecting in the rear window hatch channel, top removal and power. Only if it had the same power as my 98. Nothing a 383 stroker or a 406 build can't cure.

Yup TPI. This wasnt directed at me but ill answer since im bored

Handling for my 85 is insane. I have the larger sway bars and can corner like there is no tomorrow. Very responsive steering. Coilovers are a great upgrade if you plan on autox.

These are not ideal drag cars. The autos d36 breaks if you swap gearing and are pushing 400hp. The manuals with the D44 are stronger but still not perfect.

Interiors arent the best but mine is done up nicer than stock so I have no complaints.

The dashes are my biggest woe at the moment. They are digital and the tach lags. Ill be at 15xxrpm on the dash but then in half a second it will jump up to 20xxrpm. They only show the hundred after you hit 1000rpm.

Choice between the two I'd choose a C5. The c4 are still nice cars, my bet is depending on which year you are looking for in specific I'd say somewhere between $6k-$12k are the going prices.

Thank you PSU 98. I appreciate the compliment. I went through just about everything in the car and cleaned, cleaned and cleaned. Lots of work, but well worth it.

Thank you. I have the stock exhaust all the way to the third cat. Then from there I have a split Y with muffler deletes exiting out the sides. The side covers are fiberglass pieces I bought for a C2, then I modified them to fit my C4. Sounds great!

Sorry OP, not trying to threadjack. Jorge

C5 is good eventhough it looks like a sandwich , but my concern is that I don't want to pay more than my budget . and c4 looks classic to me .

I think he means that is the amount of money sunk into his C4 since buying it (including the price of the car). He has put a lot of money into his C4 since buying it, restoring quite a bit. Basically he could have bought a nice used C5 for that amount invested in his C4.

That's a clean L98!!! I've always like the look of an L98. The torque they make isn't bad either. Sweet C4!!!

I have a white C4 Vert., so I may be a bit biased.
