GTO saw the light!
I was going to the store and at a light on a two way road with a mild curve directly ahead, and a GTO was being frisky in back of me. The light changed and I eased into it and ended up with a bit of wheel spin through the curve. Once I got straight pushing the throttle down and engaging the boost more I looked in my review mirror and he was a couple of hundred yards back out of shape, practically tipping over. He sure showed me and his girl.
I'm sure glad I didn't let my handling go for straight line performance!

If I'm behind a car that breaks loose (on a curve no less) I'm going to back WAY off so I don’t end up hitting him. Maybe he was trying to catch you, maybe even race, but it seems unlikely if it was a 2 lane road. I do not doubt you could out run him, it just doesn't sound like a race from your story.

Some guys crack me up and are dangerous for sure!
I’m lost. You were on a 2 lane road. The GTO was behind you. You took off from the light somewhat aggressively and then broke the tires loose on the curve then took off and looked behind you to see the GTO a ways back?

So a boosted Vette vs probably a stock GTO and you are calling a kill after you took off while in front of him, on a turn no less? What about this does not sound stupid to you? What was he supposed to do? Take off and hit you in the rear? I mean come on I love Vettes and all....

Pot meet kettle. LOL, racing around a turn. Silliness. Darwin will take care of you soon enough.

I wasn't racing!
This post is really more to the Vette guys that build there cars for a straight line and my point of view:
"I'm sure glad I didn't let my handling go for straight line performance!"
