370?
Is a vette with 370 whp comparable to a f body with 450 whp? A 01 C5Z ran in the 11's with an intake tune and minor bolt ons. Where as it takes mid 400s for a F body to get those times....

Power to weight ratio... The Z weights 400-500 Lbs less than an F-Body. That's about a 50HP difference right there. Also, the Z has the equivalent of 3.90 rear-end gears because it has a far more aggressive 6-speed transmission than standard Vettes and F-bodies. The Z06 was the only car to get a MN12 transmission.
A bone stock 02+ Z should be able to make 350-360 and with good tire and a good driver should run very low 12's. On the Vette forums I've seen stock on tire run into the 11s. Headers and a tune put them closer to 380-390RW and puts even a modest driver in the low 12s high 11s.
I don't know about 450RWHP being required for f-bodies to make it into the 11s. I think about 400RW would be good enough for a 6-speed Camaro to get into the 11s as long as the driver was good and the car was on tire.

Both of those numbers were on a mustang dyno. My vette was stock at the time.
