Default LS2 Vette Guys

I have a 2007 CTS-V and would like some help from the Vette community .

I have recently finish with round one of the mod battle, and try to figure out what to do after round 2. which round 2 is clutch, flywheel, and brakes.

so round 3 will be induction work. i am trying to decided between F/I or N/A. any input on what you have done to you 2s would be great.

Current Mods:
Kooks 1 7/8" Headers with High Flow Catted mid pipes
Magnaflow cat back
Gforce 1320 rear axles
Katech Short Shifter
160 Degree T-Stat
Competition Wires (Magnacore 8.5mm) and Plugs (D3 TQM Quadtips) with Thermal Socks
K&N Air Charger
UUC Motor Mounts, Diff and Shifter bushings

Ls7 clutch w/ Aluminum flywheel should hold it. This is what I did
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is one of the most thoroughly prepped cam-only cars I've had the pleasure to tune. It's a 6 speed manual 2006 Corvette with a stock LS2 short block. After adding American Racing Header 1 7/8" with no cats, Magnaflow catback and tune, the car put down 390rwhp. Strong, but certainly within the realm of what healthy LS2s make.

Next, the following items were added:
FAST 102 LSX-R intake (stock, unported)
102mm electronic throttle (yes, the big one)
MAF delete with 4" straight tube (no inlet restriction at all)
Calloway Honker CAI
ASP underdrive pulley
Patrick G custom 234/242 .602/.605" 112LSA +4 advance cam ground with EPS lobes
Yella Terra Ultra Lite 1.7 ratio rockers
Patriot Extreme dual valve springs with Ti retainers
Manton 11/32" pushrods 7.475" length (shorter pushrods were too noisy)
21 degrees of timing at peak torque, 23 degrees of timing at peak power, 12.5-12.8:1 A/F ratio.

Final results were: 502.945 rwhp/451.791 rwtq.
The way the EPS lobes carried power was a thing of beauty.

Thumbs up

If staying NA then a FAST intake manifold will help a lot as well, the stock LS2 intake is somewhat restrictive.

i have a slight lean going S/C, but its not for sure. after i get my new clutch and fly wheel installed in January, then i will be doing the next round. which will be new TB, brake work, and a mild cam that is very blower friendly.

if i say N/A, i do not want huge cam. mainly because i want to car say fairly understated at lower RMPs. and yes, i know that with a S/C, will take away some of the "understated" nature of the car. but by the time you here the whine, it will be to late.

Or when on a very happy dyno. What's that magical vette do at the track?

Edit - I just saw the thread in the dyno section posted by Pat G - while I find it very hard to believe I know that Patrick knows his stuff and is honest. I'm amazed at the power out of that combination considering a 243 headed LS6 is typically only making 430-440ish RWHP cam-only with bolt-ons and a 90/90. Just seems odd that a slight increase in displacement and the 102 intake over a 90mm intake is making that much more power.
