No tire pressure sensor on the dash?
My friend bought a 99 C5 20k miles and hes a freak and annoyed me enough to ask you guys
He says the front left pressure sensor isn't showing up on the guages...
Does that mean its dead? or it needs to be relearned?
any help would be great so he can leave me alone
thanks

It's probably dead. It will set a code if you drive on the highway for 10 minutes or so.
I bought a set of used wheels, tires and sensors. Two of them were dead, one was flaking (took forever to start reading), and the 3rd worked.

Also, you could try to relearn it first. Find a strong magnet, enter the relearn procedure by scrolling through options until its blank, then hold reset and you'll gain two more options, Tire learn and Fob learn. Choose tire learn and hit reset.
It will guide you to a tire, hold your magnet over the sensor area (under the valvestem). When the horn honks go to the next tire and repeat.
If the horn never honks, the sensor is toast or your magnet is not big enough.
You dont have to follow the order of the DIC, so if you suspect the magnet try it on a known good sensor first. You can start over in the right order once you figure out how to do it.
