Default newbie with a m6 c6 Z51

hey guys. I just bought a black 05 m6 z51 1sb vette. These cars are SO MUCH FUN, it's ridiculous haha.

Well I have to get new tires, so that being the case I want new rims. So I went on corvettegarage and found C6 Z06 rims. I found two options for C6s they have 18 19X10 or for C6Z06s they have 18s and 19X12.

My question is...can I get the 19X12s to fit on my C6? or is that something only for C6Zs. I want to run a big *** tire in the back, that's my goal. Was thinking black C6Z rims with fat tires.

My buddy has a c6 and he said the 12's are on the Z06's because they have a 2" wider body and if you put them on the standard c6 they would stick out the sides. I hope this helps...

There is another thread on here about this...The largest i have heard people runnin on a c6 are 19x11 w/325's. They stick out like hell but i think they look pretty badass. However, there is no way in hell your getting a 19x12 rim on the back without some lingenfelter "mini tubs" or a wide body kit. Its got to be damn close with the 19x11's..........

I have 19x11's and 325's and they don't stick out.

Razorback,

What tires are you running? I've got 19x11 fikse's in the back.

General's but they aren't the best for traction/handling. Great ride and wear.

I have a 05 with a widebody kit , Allows me to run 325's and the look is killer.
It's the right way to go...

they will fit, but they will stick out! unless you get the z06 rear wide body.

If you check over on corvette forums you will find that some who run the z06 size wheels have ended up with cracked fenders. Just run the stock C6 sizes.

I have 19x11 LGs out back with 325 Invos.
If you really want traction, buy 18x11 (or widen a set of front stockers) and then you can put 555RIIs on the back.
