Hey PItt,

No vacuum pump. The valve covers vent into the downtube. Even with no baffles in the valve covers the intake stays bone dry. A testemant to Shawn's skills. My 403 (no Shawn built) had a ton of blowby and I worked hard to vent it. Finally ended up with a filter on the oil fill.

Needs a chin spoiler to go with those badass side lower valance moldings(to me). Although it would make it a bitch for daily use and pulling in and out of parking lots,...but, looks good, none the less.

It would look great in the garage. I have to be really careful not to drag pulling out as it is.

SICK..

But I couldn't help but notice your rotors are on backwards (unless, of course the internal cooling vents are opposite)

Nope - not backwards. Vents pull from the center and exhaust around the perimeter. Those are Baer Eradispeed +2 2 piece rotors with 14" on the rear.

Looks like the outside of the slots on the rotor hits the brake pad first when rolling, so it would be venting towards the center..

Still, small crap aside. LOVE the car!

I'm talking about the internal vents used for cooling the disc. The slots on the disc surface themselves just vent gas off the pad.

Thanks!

so the ? is do the wider street tires hook?
You can run the widest tire in the world, if it's not R-compound it's a waste of time. Been there done that on several cars.

Kevin, that vette is amazing! Just please buy the new Nitto NT05R's and then you will start a new thread titled...VA Speed 427 grenaded my rearend cause my new fat and sticky drag radials hooked like nothing I've ever tried.

The problem with drag radials is I like to run the back/mountain roads around here much too quickly for a drag radial. I tried the ET Street II's and it was horrible.

Kevin what about NTO5 or Toyo R888 I hear both make good traction and work well with mountain road /street drive.

yeah bro, get some road race capable tires, toyos, nittos, whatever,.. not only does that car need them, it deserves them. you'll be stoked, amazed, and never look back. Not a drag radial person either, unless I'm putting in work.
