Check around the sponsers. Thunder Racing, Lingenfelter, MTI, Comp Cams, LG etc all offer cams, and calling and asking them what you're wanting powerwise will probably give you better results

Well, altho i havent bought any Gen III cam stuff, i probably lean more towards Thunder and MTI. Especially MTI if you get their ported head packages aswell. They just seem to push out a good amount of power. But the new i think its LGx5 cam is supposed to be good, and the TR 227 and 230 cams are pretty good from what ive heard also. Just check the forums and ask around some more.

get a c2 from mti. (224 224 .581 .581 LSA112) with tuning, it's an awesome daily driver cam, and you'll put down some good numbers with it.

The biggest factor in the cam equation relating to driveability is the LSA. I have heard the G5X3 is a fairly streetable cam on a 114LSA and makes some very decent power. Lou had a video out that where he stuck a bobble head figure on the console to give you an idea of how much the car "jiggled"/loped at idle. It seemed to be very acceptable.

Good Luck.

I need to find that bobble head video, I'm considering replacing my T1 cam with a G5X3/114

I like MTI's X1 cam, plenty big but not too big, good power, well mannered, etc.

just my opinion

Thanks Flynlo!!!
That makes me feel a little bit better I had friends trying to talk me out of that cam, so I still have not ordered it yet.
Hey boos2 what type of numbers are you hitting with the x1 cam???
Are you cam only or do you have heads also???
Thanks!!!

I agree that would be an excellent selection. If you wanted something more radical and a tad more high rpm power yet 1000% streetable look at the MTI X1 cam (find it on their site) or the LGM G5 X2 cam with specs of 232/240, .609 lift on a 112, 113 or 114 lsa. 114 lsa with the LGM cam would rock and be very streetable but would benefit from 4.10 gears also big time!!!

Another rock solid choice would be to cal allan futral of furtral motorsports and they have many kick azz cams the one allen recommended for my stock headed z06 was a f 11 cam with specs of 228/232, .595 lift on a 112,113 or 114 lsa!!! Do your research wisely and cam your bitch up once and do it right the first time!!!

Actually I have MTI's stealth cam (with some other goodies). I'm sitting right at 400 RWHP with a A4. (That's N/A pf course)

I may be ripping that out and putting in a X1. Several friends have the X1 and It's a great cam.
