How much does it increase the cars value to drop in an ls3?

Maybe a little depending who/how you sell it too but not much. Its not easy to sell a modded car especially if youre not making it exactly "smog" legal. At this level, just mod to get what you want out of your car, enjoy it and consider the money gone. Lol

Been a while since I made this thread. My LS3 now has forged pistons and rods and breathes with the help of a Vortech V2-si. Making close to 700rwhp and currently working on a return style fuel system. Oh yeah it runs on e85 now too.

Looks like you have a truck motor with dod, probably a L92. You can simply replace the lifters with LS7 lifters which are the new standard replacement and replace the plastic lifter trays. The trays are less than $10 on summit. Get the new LS2/3 type of trays. They have the indentation to fit in the block. You will need a non-dod valley cover that plugs up the oil passages to activate the dod system.

A YSI is definitely in the plans for the very near future.

Hi, love your car!
did you use your C5 water pump and alt, and what Harmonic balancer did you go with?
I am doing a LS3 build for my C5Z using a LS6 crank... Will the stock LS6 HB work?

Thanks! Yes all C5 accessories and pulleys will work. Im using an innovative crank pulley for my supercharger. I also had to go with a C6 water pump for the sc bracket to clear but I had a LS6 water pump in there before. C5 alt and bracket still there. I transferred everything over. Good luck with your build! You wont be disappointed.

Nope. My conversion box from Ligenfelter has worked perfect from day one. All other connectors are from Caspers and have given me no issues. Just made sure I tucked everything away from heat sources
