C5 z06 trans issues need help
I have looked everywhere but haven't been able to find anything on this particular grinding noise I'm hearing. It happens with clutch on floor in any gear especially in 1st (that I have noticed) and rpms held anywhere over 2500 rpm . drives normal no other noise besides at dead stop. Clutch is a rxt with less than 1000 miles and trans was rebuilt about 1800 miles ago by rpm check disc clearances and were in spec, shifts fine etc no noise during accel or decel haven't pulled apart yet . Vid of noise happens 22 secs exactly thanks.

sounds as is maybe slave is bleeding down and causing trans gear grinding? doesnt sound like a pilot bearing at all, sounds like gear clash possibly. might also check and see if your shifter linkages are tight if they are loose may cause trans so try to move into 2 gears at once because on vettes its all linkage, no direct shifter
my cts v ( linkage shifter) had worn bushings and when pushing on first it would make a similar noise

I was thinking hydraulic issues as well but a reputable vette place said sounded like pilot bearing but I figured it would do it from a stop consistantly

Thinkin about the hydraulic possibility and i don't think it could be that do to not doing it rolling in gear With clutch disengaged(to the floor)?
