1979 Corvette Compression ratio

I'm wanting to put an edelbrock cam in my '79, and the specs for it say that I need to have at least a 9.5:1 compression ratio, my car only has an 8.2:1 compression ratio. How do I improve that number?

Swap that 350 for an LS3

Its got plenty of compression...
