I like the car a lot. I think it looks amazing as a "base model" Corvette. Just imagine how the "Z" models are gonna look with wider fenders,..maybe front bumper/chin spoiler treatments...maybe even more hood ventilation.

But keep in mind that c5s and up usually beat other cars like GTOs, new camaros, mustangs that have 100 more horsepower because their lite. I do it all the time
The zo6 will be out soon also. GM could easily extract more power, z06 for example, but it's the base corvette, the z is the next level up. The 8 speed trans will replace the 7 speed maybe as soon as next year. It's a well geared, flat power curve that will feel more than 450 horsepower
0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds and 12 flat quarter miles for 450 power is awesome. Put some drag radials and easy 11s, and still go 190 mph.

I've watched every video so far. I love how they thought about the design and the history of the designs and decided to shake it up. It needed a fresh look and once people realize that and see it on the streets I think opinions will change. I mean hell look at this p/s with hre wheels on it. People are harping on the rear too much because of the lights. It needed to be changed and this is a good change.

I've watched every video so far. I love how they thought about the design and the history of the designs and decided to shake it up. You do realize Curb Weight is the car as is on the lot...That means all the fluids and a full tank of gas.
A curb Weight of 3350 is a few hundred pounds lighter than the 5th gen F-body and nearly the same as the 2012 model vette.
I'm glad to see they got rids of the round tail lights and updated the interior. It was seriously lacking and looked cheap.
Probably has a lot to do with fuel economy and reliability. As we have seen from the first LS, the power is conservative to its potential. What are the insurance laws these days? Do they go by displacement or power?
