i tried to pull them using the method described in the forum by turning the key on and starting from the odometer. i went through all the partitiond untill thry all displayed (no codes). they came back in 30min. if i disengage traction control and spin the tires it will put the car in lmp mode where it will barely go 2mph. if i turn off the car and restart it it will still be in limp mode. the only way i can solve the issue is to disconnect the neg terminal on the battery and reconnect it. that works every time. PLEASE HELP ME IM ABOUT TO GIVE UP

i didnt mention that the car took a little water and the computer located at the passenger footwell got wet. also a while back before the the car took water some kind of anti theft deal would shut down the fuel at 2mph as an anti theft measure. i brought the car to Futral and had the raise the anti theft fuel cutoff from 2mph to 255mph so that solved that issue. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Check your Maf and all electrical connections. My car went into Limp mod and I went and checked the Maf connection and it had corrosion on it, sprayed electrical cleaner on it. Good as new. There are also grounding straps that are in the engine bay that you might want to check.

BCM got wet. Probably.

Check grounds...and first and foremost...make sure you have proper battery power. Low/faulty battery's,,,....will play jedi mind tricks on you.

Happy hunting.

Shoot me your email address, and I'll send you the full list of C5 codes. Your BCM, along with possibly your PCM, may be fried by the few codes i read here; that or something isnt ground. All the codes with a "H" behind them mean they are old. "H" stands for history. Regardless, PM me you email address and I'll get you the full list of codes.
