I believe he ran a 9.96 @ 149. I am sure he will come back and report, but he ended up suffering a drivetrain failure.

Well.. the verdict is...

Rear end is fragged and the 9310 G Force mainshaft in my freshly built/upgraded MN12 is twisted off like a pretzel...

Suprisingly both of the 300m output shafts in the diff are still intact...unfortunately the housing is toast...

So basically my $3200 tranny and $3000 rear diff, both of which were built early last year, are toast.

Now I'm at a cross roads as to what to do....

1) Get a "take out" tranny/diff and get it running relatively cheap... and just baby the car until I get the funds for the auto swap..

2) Leave the car on blocks until I get the money to do the auto swap, don't invest another dime into the stick tranny/diff...and not have to re-do all of this work over again... It would likely have to sit 7-8 months atleast to get the money to do everything I want to do to it...

Wow, that is a lot to swallow. While the wait will definitely suck, it'd be more rewarding in the long run to pinch the pennies and get it up and running ASAP with the auto swap. It'd likely take too long to replace and then swap later and you'd end up spending more than you wanted

Got the broken shaft out of the diff...

After looking at the shaft and talking with DTE (the rear end builder), we've concluded the shaft broke first, then was shoved back into the differential shifting all of the guts upwards, splitting the rear end housing..

Clearly this 9310 hardened shaft just twisted in half....

Trying to get it covered under warranty now....

If I can get a new mainshaft at a discounted rate, i have a local builder that will replace the shaft for $400, then I just have to come up with a used 3 rib diff... I'm hoping to get it running again for $1500 or so... Then just limp it along until winter....hopefully..

Yeah I would try to get it driveable to atleast take it out for a cruise every now and then. Crazy that the built stuff gave way.

yeah I know... I was really expecting it to have a broke output shaft on the diff, not the trans... The internals of the diff seem to have held up fine..

I may have found a local builder that can build another one for me with my diff internals.. Probably gonna try to go that route...

I'd be very leary of a bone stock c5z rear end, even on the street on bald drag radials... At a minimum id like to have the 300m shafts in the diff..

Hopefully I can get the tranny patched back up with another G Force shaft and get the diff built and have it running again in a month or so...
