Is this a good deal for this C5? I found a 2001 red convertable vette with 14k miles, loaded.., chrome rims, its an auto, its a stock car and looks beautiful asking price is 34,999 it is for sale at a dealorship what does everyone think?

Miles? Options? BTW, I can't believe people trust carfax.... You need someone that "knows" cars to look at it... I have seen salvage title cars come up with a "clean" carfax, and CarFax doesn't know a majority of damage that does happen. That is a horrible service that unfortunately leads people into thinking they are safe using it.... Truthfully, it is a waste of money!

Just take it to a shop, and a good mechanic can tell if it has been in an accident in about 5 minutes, I mean one that would have caused major damage. If it just had a vehicle back into it, don't even worry about the small stuff. The new filler they use now a days will last the life of the vehicle, especially on fiberglass!

You can find 01 Z06's with that mileage on autotrader.com for under $35k.

My point is here, no it's not a very good deal considering the Z06 can be had for the same amount with less miles.

Gluemaker, Z06s and convertibles generally run about the same price both when new and in the used market. In fact, I'd say the convertibles are holding their price a little better since the older Z06s have been outshadowed by the later models that have more HP.
I've been doing ALOT of shopping around for a convertible C5 and what you found is a pretty good deal considering the mileage. I also found an '01 with 19K miles for $34k and another '01 with 28K miles for $30.8k. As you can see, what you found is right in the ballpark of the best of what I've found.

Mike, that's a pretty good deal. 
If it weren't green I'd think seriously about it.
By comparison, I found an '00 'vert with 12k for $32k. I also found a '99 'vert (polished '00 wheels and a Z06 exh) with only 10.5k for $30k.

The Nitrous ZO6 seems to be the best and fastest setup although that vert with an LS6 in it would be cool. I'm bald with a hairy chest and a gold chain.....I could surprise a few people.....
I've been looking real hard myself. The ones I posted are only a few. But an ATI'd one for 36k is unreal.
