3:42s and a 3200 Yank is a good combo, another combo that is becoming very popular is the 3:42 matched to 3600 Yank...if you are really serious then think 3:73s matched to the 3800 Yank ...

yes, but only if you are intent on using EMT run-flat type rear tires. If you could give-up EMT tires, then I would go to the 3.73

i already have 3.73 gear in my c5. but i don't like it as daily drive . and i don't race in track ,i'm must have som fun in street . and i like to keep my top speed close to 175 mph.

here we race from rolling from 25 mph. to 700 m . so i think 3.73 gear is bad idea in this race .

so i'll go back to 3.15 gear (( stock one )) with yank 3200 stall . and do some head and cam package .

what do you think guys

....i am not sure if H/C new hp/tq range would match up properly to 3:15s and 3200 Yank ... most important to optimize compoments such that they compliment each other and not restrict i.e. each component has an optimum rpm range. It is very easy to put components together but it takes some thinking to match up components for maximum efficiency and results and i don't mean just performance results but also drivability ... most speedshops can give you pretty good advice on putting "right" package together, just explain to them what your end point goal is (daily driver, street, strip, combo etc)...good luck.

I'm planning on putting some 3:73's in my car along with about a 2800 stall converter for my next mod, so let me know when yer looking to unload your gears.

Im running a 342 and a ss3200 and i roll race all the time and i drive the car every day .

I usaly do 50-150mph roll races and i can out run 99.5 % of the street racers around here with my combo and im in orlando and theres a buttload of fast guys around here .

I think my 200 shot has something to do with it tho

342 and a 3200 stall is a good combo for a D/D and i can still run 165-170 mph .

I can tool down the highway in comfort , do roll racing and at the same time i can still run high 10s low 11's at the track .
