Default Jacking up a C5

Is there a trick to jacking these cars up to do basic service? We have a C5 in the shop and they said there should be some kind of plugs or lift pads. Already searched and came up with nothing.

There are jacking pucks that fit in the frame rail cutouts. I don't have them and get along fine. If the car isn't lowered you should be able to get a floor jack under the front or rear crossmember (be careful of the oil pan). If its lowered (like mine) I usually drive the car up onto rhino ramps (black plastic with an low approach angle) and then use a scissor jack on the back frame rail jack point to jack up one side of the car. Once I get that wheel far enough in the air, I put a piece of wood under it, let down the scissor jack and then use a floor jack under the rear crossmember to get the rear in the air. Be sure that you have the wood under the tire when you let the rear down or you won't be able to remove the floor jack.

Buy some rubber hockey pucks at your local sporting goods store for $5.

I have some 2"x12"s about 18" long. Drive the car up on them, then use the floor jack under the front. Worked great on my old 01 Z06 and now my 99 FRC.
