Default New Hinson Short Throw Shifter Putting In A Little Work On The Track - Video Inside

We were able to get out to the local drag strip this weekend and put the shop C6 and our New Hinson short throw down the track a few times. Our shop car started life as a low mileage stock 2010 Grandsport. After a short while of owning the car we swapped a LS7 into the car along with the Z06 magnesium front and rear cradles. While we were at it, we upgrade the engine and transmission mounts to our HINSON performance urethane engine and transmission mounts to help keep the new power plant and driveline in place. The car then was equip with one of our Hinson custom grind camshafts, along with a FAST 102mm intake, Nick Williams 102mm throttle body, FAST billet fuel rails, HINSON torrent braided fuel line kit, Halltech CAI, HINSON Ceramic Coated 1 7/8" headers and x-pipe, GM Z06 exhaust, and now our NEW HINSON C6 short throw shifter. Currently the car is making 595RWHP naturally aspirated and is still conservative enough to be driven daily. To help get this power to the pavement we went with a Weld street/strip pack that we setup for the car. The wheels are from Welds poplular RT-S line, that are offered from us as a direct bolt on to the car. The fronts are Welds RT-S77 style in 17x5 size wrapped with M&H 26x5 tires. The rears are also RT-S77s in 17x11 wrapped in M&H drag radials, size 325-45-17 for a good balance between street and strip use. Check out one the video below of some of the passes we made this weekend.

If your running one of our New HINSON Motorsports Short Throw Shifters, post your video and comments below.

Sorry about that. Video didn't update originally. Fixed now. Post up videos of your Hinson shifters in action.

The throws are shorter than even the video depicts. In short, our shifter has the shortest throws, and the narrowest gates between gears. This yields a very fast and definitive shift. We also utilize a unique mechanism that does not rely on centering springs like other shifters on the market, therefore it will not have to be rebuilt over time, and you wont miss shifts due to fatigued centering springs.
