I found an 01 z06 for a good price but the seller said it was in an accident a few years ago and the below pic is of the passenger side door area:



What I that around the door hinge? A bad weld job?

I'm still waiting to hear back from the seller but thought I would post here to see what others thought about the repair.

Thats not a weld, thats body filler or seam filler and it shouldn't look like that or even be there. I'd keep looking.

It actually looks like construction adhesive, like liquid nails

Yeah I thought it looked odd but figured I'd ask. I won't look at the car. Seems like it would be a lot of work to correct that.
