Default C6 ('05) Bose Aux Input - No Nav

Hi LS1Tech,

Glad to be back after several years away (driving an Audi). I'm picking up my 9300 mile 2005 C6 stick (otherwise stock) next week. Right off the bat, I really need an aux input. My car has Bose, no nav.

What is my best route to get an aux? I'd prefer not to splice into the xm, but I could do that. Would I be better off buying an adapter harness? Getting a new head unit? ( I really don't care about nav, I use my phone, but would consider a new unit). Or, is there an easier route altogether?

I did search, but not as thoroughly as normal. I'm traveling until picking up the car, so I would like to have this installed when I pick it up and don't have much time to stroll through the forums.

On that note, if you have quick and easy performance enhancing mods for an 05 c6 I'd love to hear it.

Advice is greatly appreciated

I installed the isimple aux adapter in my C5. It is CD audio quality and installed to factory stereo harness in 20 minutes.
