Looking to buy a 99 or 2000 FRC. Was wondering what you guys thought it would do. Ive heard 12.8-12.9 at around 109-111mph.

well Im speaking of the FRC cars, which are about 100 pounds lighter than a regular coupe. Ive heard those times are possible in them, but i just wanted to get more input from the corvette crowd and possibly some FRC owners.

Z06's are about a 100lbs lighter due the lighter windshield and I believe less sound deadening. The FRC is maybe 50-75lbs lighter depending on how the coupe is optioned.

The Z06 is 3118lbs fully loaded and the FRC is 3170lbs fully loaded. If you do not get the dual climate control and HUD you will lose about 20lbs on the FRC. Remember the Z06 wheels/tires are MUCH lighter than regular OEM wheels/tires. Rumor is a base optioned FRC with OEM Z06 wheels weigh almost the same.

I have a 99 FRC with the following, Blackwing, B&M shifter, Raptor shift light, and new GoodYear F1GSD3's on all corners. With this known I have managed the following.
Best with runflats = 13.22@109.3 with a 2.2 60'
Best with F1GSD3's = 12.94@108.6 with a 1.915 60'
Seat time is important. It has taken me 6 months to reach some consistancy with a 6 speed.

I ran 13.4-13.6 at 106.88 to 106.95 today. Car is totally stock, except I guess a 180 thermostat. I just got it today. Wasn't sure on the shift points, I guess I should have been shifting at rev limiter. It had 3/4 of a tank of gas, and nothing else in it. I weigh 210lbs.
Given that its central FL in July, the humidity is horrible. Also, I wasn't attempting an agressive launch, I really just wanted to see what kind of MPH it could do (I'm more of a road-racer). I think the 60's were 2.3s.
I can't seem to shift it nearly a fast as my last car, a '97 Toyota Supra. I could shift that thing fast enough that the wastegate and blow-off valve didn't open between shifts, heh. I'll probably try some synthetic trans oil before my first track event, maybe that will help.

Hmm, actually it looks like the car has 2 mods. The 180 degree thermostat and a cone filter which is attached directly to the MAF. For some reason I thought the cone filter was stock
I guess I'll get a lid for some cold air induction. I'd imagine the filter hurts more than it helps, since its basically just getting hot air.

Last year my Y2K FRC M6 ran a 13.3 @ 110 MPH in the 1/4 with cool air and the following mods:
-- Donaldson Blackwing
-- Magnaflow X-Pipe
-- LS6 Intake Manifold
-- Flowmaster Mufflers
New times with the same Run-Flat tires and *no* tuning with the addition of Dynatech headers, Dynatech X-Pipe, and hi-flow cats: 12.8 @ 114 MPH.
