Whole TT 427 lsx 4l80 build with questions
Hi y'all, new to the forum and the LS platform in general. I'm building a 2013 grandsport. What started out as a fun weekend driver has turned into an all out build.. Twin 67mm turbos, 427 LSX, RPM level 5 4l80e conversion kit. Fuel system is already in.
Recently picked up the 4l80 setup and haven't found a whole lot on the conversion other than the tunnel needs modified to fit. Is there supposed to be an adapter plate for the trans to the diff?
I purchased the 427 off of a friend. Everything it comes with is brand new. Callies dragon slayer crank 58x, callies billet h beam rods, custom cp pistons (10.5:1), machined for 1/2" head studs etc. PRC heads with LS3 ports, comp Warhawk short travel lifters, LS3 rockers with CHE trunion upgrade. Here is my dilemma. The crank is a short crank so I can't utilize the dry sump setup. What pan will I need to make it fit in my car? What all sensors etc can I re use from the ls3 (car ran perfect when we tore it apart). What should I look out for with the lsx setup? I will be using my old LS3 holley intake and TB. I know I'll need gaskets, studs, push rods, and valve covers. What else might I need to buy to put this together and make it work in my car?
Everything will be controlled with holley.
