Default Z06/ Vet Question

Hey guys........NEWBEEE here too the Z06 world
I just bought a Black Z06 2002 with 30K on it , during the test flight It seemed to get a little hot(225????) Now this was down town L.A.afternoon heat. So is 225 about right for traffic......my TA had the idiot gauge in it, so I never really knew what it was. Second, It has terrible swirl marks....can Zaino help or what (I'll try the clay bar tomorrow for the prep)
Are the Kooks LT a good first mod (how much gain HP??)
And last but not least.......what should I look for as far as problems, I got 1 month left on factory warranty!

Not sure which temp is 225*. Coolant, engine oil, or tranny oil? If coolant temp, that's probably a little high. Mine runs about 195-ish during normal traffic. Might new a new thermostat. Consider the 165 if you need a replacement.

Zaino Z5 is a good swirl remover. Go to the website: www.zainobros.com. It'll have all the info you need. BTW, black is one of the most difficult colors to keep looking good. Swirls marks really show up in that color.

Can't tell you too much about the Kooks. Sorry.

Do a search on the Kooks question, or as to which headers can be the best bang for your buck (From what i remember, Kooks and the LGs are pretty good).

At what temp (coolant) is the high fan suppose to come on......I notice the low but no high. It gets up to 235 sitting. Is there a fan switch available for the Vets like the TAs

The high and low fan settings are set through the PCM. I guess it's possible to rig a switch and bypass the computer settings but why?

Just have someone reset the fan settings using a Hypertech, Predator, etc.
