Hey guys,
A buddy and I are looking to build a carburated 350 with a goal of 500+ rwhp after a supercharger is added. We figure that we need at least 400 hp before the supercharger and were wondering if anyone has one? And if you do, could you post some specs on it, as far as parts and block and whatnot. Also what would a good compression ratio be? We are looking to run a centrifugal supercharger.
BTW this is going to be in a 1976 stingray. Thanks guys.

if your useing a built bottom end you could probably get to 500 w/ out the sc, I've got a stock 88vette bottom end w/way too many miles on it, converted to carb, set of iron vortech fast burn design heads, zz430 cam, hardened pushrods, LT headman headers, mallory ignition, 8.8 wires, edelbrock intake manifold, 850cfm edelbrock carb., I had the 750 but I had the 750 maxed out so I had to step up, I havent had it on the dyno yet but judgeing by whats done and the et's it's got over 400hp, I'd say just build the engine to the zz430 engine specs then put the sc on it, I like the iron heads for the street/strip abuse it gets and the heat wont warp the heads so easily

- ZZ4 shortblock
- Fed. Mogul forged pistons (10:1)
- blueprint stock rotating assembly
- AFR, 195cc heads (2.02/1.60 valves)
- Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake
- 850 CFM Demon carburetor
- 1 inch carb spacer
- Comp Cams XR300R Hydraulic Roller cam
(248/254' @ /050, .562/.580, 110 lobe sep.)
- Hooker 1 3/4" headers
- MSD, Holley or other ingnition.
506hp/436tq - Westech Perf. Group small-block. I've seen one run at the track and dyno.
* no need for Supercharger.
