No i dont have a 700 hp vette. I was just talking with my import driving friend and he says his evo that he is going to buy some day will have 700 and i said i will race him with my 700 hp vette. He said that 700 is not possible with a vette without replacing the whole engine. I said i could get 700 with pretty much heads cam supercharger or twin turbo set up and maybe some laughing gas if its needed. To get 700 out of a evo he will have to do a lot more than that though. He still doesnt believe me. I was just wondering if any of you have that much on your vettes or is it acheiveable? Also all you ricers on this website how hard is it to get 700 out of a evo? I know you can use laughing gas but im not a big fan of the spray is it possible without it. Thank you guys sorry for being so long just thought it would be a good conversation on here.

Like others have posted, you CAN use the same engine, but not with stock internals. Also you might want to use the word Nitrous, some of us nitrous-***** might poke fun at you for saying "nos" ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I don't know much about the Evo, but I would imagine pumping out 700 ponies from any 4 cyl would take a TON of boost, not to mention drivability. You COULD daily drive a 700 horse LSx powered car, but I don't know about a 4 cyl with tons of boost making that kind of power

You don't "need" a forged shortblock to make 700 hp. I noticed you didn't specify crank hp or rear wheel hp. Your buddy is probably talking crank hp. 700 crank hp would be approximately 600 rwhp.
Heads/cam/nitrous and you can get there. How long it lasts is another question.

I know a guy with a 98 SS with stock internals with just the bolt ons and a 200 shot of spray he dynod it to 500 hp at the wheels. He races it at the local track every week end he is runnin in the mid 11s with pretty much a stock car. Im surprised his engine is still in one piece since he has tht much power.

he is probably near mid to LOW 11's with a 200 shot... Many of us have built, driven, owned bolt on cars with a 150 shot that easily run 11.50's and faster.
You can make that much power, with heads, cam, and nitrous, but it is PREFERRED that you forge the block, meaning you exchange the stock internals to forged materials, which are usually stronger and maybe even lighter as well!
Good luck on acheiving a 700 rwhp vette... It is something many of us would like to have!
By the way remember your buddies car is all wheel drive and that makes it even HARDER for him to put tha tmuch to the ground
