Default WOOOO, Got my car!!!!

well I've been waiting a long time and I've finally got my vette, its a 99 FRC M6 loaded w/HUD and black leather interior, it had 8,900(yes thats right, not a misprint, 8900.) miles on it when I got it, I've been looking for a long long time for the right deal, I had to wait about a month for it to get here and I had to sell a few of my cars to get it one of them being my 98Z28 in the sig pic , it was a rough day when I had to let her go but I got 16k for her and she went to a good home only thing that sucks is that it was my neighbor who bought it and I've been having to hear him start it up every morning and drive it down the road , I still cant legally drive my vette yet cause its got no reg. but I did take it down to my friends house and they were begging for a burnout......... and so was I, lol, so...... there's two fat strips of rubber infront of his house, damn that wuz fun, I cant wait to start modding this animal, I test drove the Z06 a while ago and it feels identical, of corse not quite as much hp but it wont be long., well sorry for such a long post I'm just stoked right now and I could keep going on and on but I'll spare you another 1/2 hour... btw if anybody wonder's what the weight of a 99 FRC M6 is, matson weighed it w/ 1/4 tank of gas it was 2,8xx.

here'z some pics to get u buy till I can clean her up some more and get some good interior shots, it belonged to an old man who bought it brand new and it was garage kept, the underneath looks brand new no dirt and it still has that new car smell.................... yes the rims are getting changed as soon as I get some more $$$, thanks for reading

BTW, I ditched the EMT runflats a long time ago for a set of Kumho MX Ecsta non-runflats. Anyway, the wheels only cost $1075.00 which included S/H to my door.

Congrats! Drop the EMTs ASAP, they are terrible. Another tire choice for you to ponder vs. the Kumho's— I have found the Nitto ZR's to be damned good.

Mallet 396 rims look pretty nice and are somewhat unique. But I dont think you can really go wrong w/ any wheel combo on a Z. Congrats on the new car, and remember to keep the wave alive!

ok so I choped on some Z06 rims and tint but no drop yet, I think I may go this route due to the fact that anyother rims that look good cost about 4 times as much

this is a stupid question but your is frc...and the back window just drops off.. I thought frc was just not convertable (everyone says frc is the best) but I see some with more hatchback style windows, are these just coupes?

They're just Fixed Roof Coupe's . And the FRC's arent "the best" but people like them because they offer Z06 like looks, with Z06 like suspension (altho the Z does have some tweeks) yet its doesnt have that Z06 price tag.

Nice ride, and welcome to the FRC club. I love the FRC looks (better then the z06 IMO since no brake ducts). Check out these wheels.... Magnesium Mallets They arent an arm an a leg, look cool (and not just some other year OEM wheel), and are a hell of a lot lighter then repros... Oh yea, and lower your car first.. Hell, its free to do!

Lowering your car isn't exactly free, since you will need to have your camber adjusted on all four tires afterwards.
Although the rear brake ducts could have been done more tastefully, they are functional.
Cool thing about an FRC is that they are lighter.

If you just do it on the stock bolts (the 1/2 inch or so) camber and caster should still be fine...

As for the brake ducts... If you actually track your car and really need the rear brakes vented better, still aftermarket kits the look significantly better..

And for the price difference of the z06 you can get a h/c package that would put the frc 20-40 rwhp ahead of the z06. Buuuuuuuut the z06 has the MN12.... I would love to have that tranny....
