my first impression is that the torque is a little lacking behind the power, anyone else? or am I nuts? I really want the cam, someone just reassure me that the torque is inline.

the torque is fine. look how its above the baseline the whole way across even holds on longer. thats what it should do. that cam has very good range and will perform very good throughout.

however id like to know why the sample wasnt started at say 2500. the cars a manual so its easily done. just curious to know that? im betting its a little lower if no higher than stock, which is perfectly fine. that car bone stock has enough to fry the tires. so just make it hold on longer for best results. thats how i feel anyway.

I have no means to create a sound clip, sorry. However there is a guy who posted a sound clip on www.digitalcorvettes.com in the c5 forum, under performance and aftermarket. Mine is similar to his although his sounds like the idle is set higher than mine. My idle is set at 950 rpms to mellow out the lope some, but it still shakes the car...LOL

When they printed out my dyno chart, that is where it started and is the same on my previous chart with the stock to the headers overlay. I'm not really sure why they started at 3500 rpms vs 2500? I would like to get an overlay with the stock, after headers and after cam on the same graph.

Dean-o,

I am hoping your Vette sounds better than that...

I am guessing by the sound, the guy had the mic gain cranked wide open on his camera, or he had tin cans for mufflers.

I am interested in the G1 (114 or 115 lsa) with MTIs stage IIe heads. Is there any way you coulds get a sound file???

Thanks blaze!!!

You car sounds like sex!!! I could easily live with that. The G1 is a little more cam though and I am interested to hearing how bad the idle is. I have a conservative exhaust system (see sig.) at least I think it is. I am hoping the Touring mufflers will beat down most of the idle, also I have no issue with setting the idle at 900-950 to smooth it out some more. Maybe put the G1 on a 114 or 115 LSA???

As I have said before I have already done the crazy choppy, lopey cams in my younger days and I do not want to get back into that. Opinions are hard to judge, but I do really like the sound of yours!!!

Mine is the standard 113 lsa for the G1, and it is choppy! No way around that if you want the most performance out of a cam. I would recommend a 115 lsa if you want something tame and it won't sound like mine. So I'm not sure what good it would do you to hear mine. However I could look into getting it on my camera and see if I can somehow download it to my PC.
