Default Magnacharger Supercharger

Is any one running the magnacharger supercharger? I was wondering how far the front of it slopes down to reach the stock intake system? I was also wondering how much height it added to the engine?

I don't know the exact measurements, but I do know you can't use the stock hood with the Magnacharger if that's what you're wondering.

what he said. a specific hood has to be used. there are a few on the market. Ken Grody ford in cali has two to choose from. ACI has one for sure i know. RK sport has some also. there are others, but you have to make sure its for the magnuson.

Well the engine will not being going into a Corvette but I want to use the Magnacharger supercharger on the engine. The car will end up with a custom made hood any ways I just need to find the size of the supercharger so I know how big to make the cowl on the hood.

In that case, I'd contact Magnacharger (a sponsor here) directly.

Good luck!

what is it going in? they have different intake snouts. for instance the SSR has a more straight out snout where as the vette one slopes down at a very hard angle.

This is done for clearance purposes necessary even with an aftermarket hood. There's a lot more room above and in front of the unit under the hood of an SSR vs a Corvette.

Dont see why you couldnt use a vararam, halltech, blackwing or K&N w/ the MC. Altho there may be some kind of special air intake, but I dont think there is/was

The reason I want to use the Corvette supercharger is because the intake slopes down at that angle. I was thinking with the intake sloping down I could build the hood for my car similar to the GT40 with the twin exhaust areas for the radiator. Then I could run the air intake down the middle then in front of the radiator. Another way is to run it in front of the radiator then have it split so the air intake is kind of like this. The hood I want to build will look similar to this one.
