I actually like that alot. I was never into the shift lights but I think you may have changed my mind. If you dont mind can you get a close up of where you installed it so I can see the finish overall look.

if you can take an upclose picture of where it sits so I can see how nice it is and not making the steering wheel looked all glued and cut up.

oh that, I used industrial strenth velcro cause I couldnt see myself drilling my new car, lol.... well if it looked stupid I could just take if off anyway w/out damaged trim... but w/ the velcro you can also adjust the light where you need it... are you thinking of putting a shift light on yours?...

I pulled the image into photoshop to get a better look. Hope you don't mind...

Assassin, do you see the light go off without taking your eyes off the road or do you have to look at the light? Did you have to pull any dash panels to install or did you just snake the wires through?

Thanks, TJ

the light really jumps out at you when it lights up... instead of spending time watching your tach you can accually consintrate better on the road and listening to your engine.. when it lights up you'll know it.. I had to take off the lower dash pannels to route the wires properly and get to the tach wire...

edit: here'z a good link on the wireing http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ht=shift+light

Wow, great link and great news on the shift light. That's going to be great for the track. I'll probably wire in a switch, so it's not flashing me all night, though. Unless the shift light has a switch. I haven't looked at one up close.

Thanks, TJ

Assassin

I was thinking about it. I look down at my rpms at the track when I race now and its a tad dangerous and kills concentration because I am looking down instead of up for portions of the 12 seconds it takes me to get down the track. I didnt want a big *** tach cause I just dont like them, plus my car is pretty much stock so the rpm range is as well.

Tj, Thanks.

I know some shift lights work different but I've been useing auto meter for years and when it hits the desired rpm it stays lit until it drops wich is as soon as you shift... they come w/ covers to put on at night so its not so bright, I dont think you'll need a switch unless you plan to keep your engine at redline all night...
yeah I would def. reccomend one for drag purposes and just about any racing...
