Torque Converter and street tires 2000 coupe: 3.42 diff, Kooks headers, corsa Indys:
Use BFG drag radials at the track
Want to use 285/18 street tires for daily driver
Will add Yank SS3600
I know that any high stall tqc will smoke the tires from a stop light - How can I succcessfully launch the car on the street with this combo without being "2nd" off the line from the traffic light?? Am I doomed to power launching only at the strip? Again want street tires on the road.

There's no way in hell I can launch my car with street tires. The best I can do is roll out, punch it at about 10 mph, and I still get one hell of a lot of wheel spin.

Pilot Sports work ok if you get them hot. A convertor that big will toast most tires..
BTW.. The Nittos are nice tires. Handle well and hook up pretty good.. My buddy put a pair of 305s on his car. He was shocked how well the hooked up!
