c5 trans question
c5 trans question can someone explain how the trans is setup in a c5 with man trans? I know the trans mounted to the diff. my question is more about the torque tube and how the shifter works? if anybody has some picks of the driveline?? thanks

No pics but here is my understanding of the set-up. The clutch is located in the normal location at the rear of the motor. The clutch is connected by the torque tube assembly to the transmission assembly in the rear of the car. The shifter is linked by rods with spherical bearing ends to the transmission in the rear. This set up makes clutch changes a major PITA and pricey too. The plus side is the movement of the weight of the transmission to the rear of the vehicle.
