Default check engine codes.. little help needed please:)

hello,

i have had a check engine light come on and off for a while.. acutally since i bought the car. the car has headers, cam , x-pipe, exhaust, etc.... i think that there are some O2 sensors not hooked up or something..i don't think that the headers have all the hookups for the 02 sensors... the light comes and goes but these are the codes i'm getting

P0154 "no 02s Activity Bank #2 Sensor #1
and
p0161 02 Heater CKT Bank #2 Sensor #2

can some one please explain this to me? is this hurting preformance or maybe gas mileage? is there a why to bypass this?

Have you looked under there to visually see that the front two are in and the rears are missing or have sims? If missing then you need the sims. This will not hurt performance but it is annoying.

a b1s2 or b2s2 I wouldnt care much about but that b2s1 is a little scary... thats the pass. side front o2 wich needs to be hooked up... do a visual check for the censor and check the wires... try swapping the b2 front and rear and see what that does if it has the rear's... was it allready tuned?

there is somthing that looks unplugged on the passanger side back near the firewall. there is nothing for it to plug into though so i'm assuming that this is cause of the aftermarket headers...

does any one think that if i post pics of the headers, x-pipe, close ups of engine, they could tell me what of stuf is on there? i know there is headers, cam,x-pipe,exhaust,KN filter, msd plug wires, small LED shift light, 275 nittos 555 up front and 335 piolit sports in the rear.... thats all i have found out by looking at it... i bought it at a mercedes dealer coming from a trade in... they didn't know it was modded.

Yeah, post some pics. The best way to get to the bottom of it possibly instead of guessing. O2 sensor could've failed, unplugged, headers don't have bungs for them.

For Lt's X pipe without four bungs the rear O2's become the front O2's with an adapter, the rear O2s will have to be edited out or simmed. Look at the section for H pipe removal. http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=29
