TH-400 in a Vette!
If you were to do it all over again would you? Is it worth it?
Does anybody make any kits for our cars, if so who?
Thank You,
Paul
I just got off the phone with Yank. They have everything needed. Its around $5400 but as much as I will go through clutches and the time the car will spend down I think its plenty worth it and will pay for its self illegally!
afr 205s,a lg gx series cam. With a 150 shot to boot. OId say about 550 to the wheels when on the juice.

For the amount of power you are talking about therre is no reason you can't get a 4l60 to work. I will be testing the yank system again real soon if we get the bugs worked out it is diffenatly the way to go with for the big HP cars but I am talking 800 plus. To install the yank system you need to modify torque tube /tranny tunnel it is a bit of a under taking. I wouldn't go through that in your case.
Good Luck
Paul
BTW I had a custom built by The Vette Doctors 4l60 in my car all last season running 9.3 - 9.5 @ 149mph
There are special shafts and adaptors that are needed and all of the parts will have to be custom made there is not a market for a volume of the kits to keep the production cost down.
We are still looking into offering the redesigned 4l80-e kit if the market wants it.
The big draw back is that the body and frame wrap up on launch and with wrap up the torque tube winds up misaligning the drive line
so a full cage must be installed to stop this twisting action on a drag race car.
The new 4l80-e kit will stop this wrap up in the drive line but it all comes at a cost in the conversion kit
I am looking at my tranny options as well.
4l60. He sent it to a tranny shop here that does performance internals and its keeps eating up converters. I dont think he has it run smooth yet. He spent a lot of money and is fed up with it. he has has it done on a 2002 Ws6 with 150 shot and bolt ons.

Do you still offer the 400 swap? I didn't see it listed on your site. What price range are we talking about to do the 400? I am interested in doing the work myself. Primarily I am looking for the adaptors nessesary for me to fit one myself.
