never had a problem with TPiS headers rusting even when they were still coated by Jet hot before Jet hot ripped TPiS off on their design. that was with many different headers, not just one pair. TPiS now has a different company doing their coatings, not too sure on how good thats working for them honestly.

another company to consider, Melrose. do a search on the vette forums, fairly new company, but they make a quality peice. coated mild steel. Random Tech also makes a hi flow cat and xpipe that will work with the Melrose headers. they also make a setup to work with the TPiS headers. you wont go wrong with either company. LGs are good too.

remember you get what you pay for and quality doesnt come cheap.

I have a new set waiting to go on my 98. As for rust that is usually a problem with running to lean and getting things to hot which breaks down the coating. I only paid $499 for mine, new

If I could get them for 499 I'd buy them now... where did you get them?

I bought mine direct from Jet-Hot. They were selling them on e-bay and I sent an e-mail asking about getting them later and he shot me a hella price. Mine don't have any emisions if that makes any difference. I just recieved a member card from them the other day which has prefered buyer discounts and a $25 gift cirtificate on any other purchases, Plus a drawing for some race tickets. Also came with go fast stickers, can't forget those. Now I'm learning that I think it would have been cheaper to just by a full 3" set-up from some one rather than trying to find a 3" mid-pipe. I'm not sure when I will get them on since I'm still looking for a deal on a off road x-pipe setup. I bought a new LS6 intake for $150 the other day to, not I just need $50 in coolant lines and plugs.

Bring your car up when you bring up Matt's, we will get all of your exhaust installed. My friend has an exhaust shop, so we can fab something up.. The coolant lines brand new from GM are less than $30. Get those things on the car NOW!!!!
