Jet Hot Headers
Jet hot is a coating used by just about every header manufacturer. If you start with 18 guage mild steel and only coat the outside you will have problems. If the header is coated inside and out, it will probably outlast the car..I just sold a 91 Mustang with the original aluminized exhaust on it and it was in fine shape, but Ford aluminized the inside and the outside. Some header makers use 17 guage and some even use 14 guage[heavier] and some even use stainless tubing. Your C5 is made of stainless, unless you have a ZO6 then the catback section is titanium and will be around long after they put your cold dead body in the ground. There are a lot of companies putting ceramic coatings on exhaust parts, not all of them are jet hot. When you buy something, research it, know what you are getting!

He's not asking about the coating I believe. Jet hot distributes an actual header for the C5, which is coated inside and out.

They are very competitively priced but no one on the forums (except for one guy who had the first set professional installed for QA for Jethot) has installed them and posted results.
Are they as good as LG's in quality and power? No I seriously doubt it. But they should be as good as TPIS's and that would make them a steal at the 599 they retail for. Yes you will loose some HP and some TQ, but you save a crapload of money.
Until someone steps up and install and tune and dyno. If they get 18-20rwhp then they are a nice alternative to the TPIS's.
Since the only street headers for the LS1 corvette are made by Pacesetter, I would assume that these are too, but there are no 1 3/4" tube headers listed in their online catalog. guess you have to call them. Searched Corvetteforum and found no hp results but plenty of posts about these cheap headers, asking questions just like the above...We all drive Corvettes and have no money. lol!

If you look at the exact page on the link I posted at the first picture those ARE longtube C5 1 3/4 headers. They look VERY and I mean VERY much like TPIS longtubes. These headers are on sale right now for 599 and I've even been quoted lower. They are not in the catalog if you look at the exact page I sent you this is the second paragraph:
97-04 Chevrolet Corvette: These long tube headers will make an instant impact on your Corvette. We offer them in three versions: 97-2000 with emissions, 01-04 with emissions and a race version without AIR and EGR fittings. Built from 1 ¾” tubes, these headers can handle engines making up to 600HP without any difficulty. They are built from 16 gauge tubes, 3/8” flanges, and are meticulously welded. Of course, we coat them inside & out with our Sterling finish as well.

Like I said the picture is the first one on the page. Not trying to be a dick at all I just want to make sure this stays on topic because I would like to know everyones experience with them too

Jet hots have been making longtubes for F-bodies for awhile a copy of the Hooker design they have a decent track record and make comparable power to others out there.
Just don't know how they stack up on the vette front they are pretty new.

And yes I'm broke as hell so if these got me 19rwhp and the LG's got me 26 I'd probably buy these and call it a day!
Yeah I was really tempted by the price, but I am afraid to use a product unless I hear some people have used them. I emailed Jet-hot and they sent me an awesome package with a video and a whole packet of info. My other concern was what h-pipe to use with them and they said you can cut the stock on and then slide them over one another and clamp it or use any x-pipe that goes with the TPIS headers. Do you guys know what x-pipe works with the TPIS headers?
You'd be supprised how easy it is to find someone to build one for you especially in Il. Hmm does the video and packet have installation instructions?
I'm not so worried about the power I'm sure they are comparible to TPIS they are a copy of the design, Jet hot made decent headers for the F-body, and stand behind there coating. If it starts to peal or rust through they recoat it.
I drive my car maybe 4k a year and I'm in a "no rust" zone for the most part if someone could please just install these and let me know how they fit I would be very thankful
01 yellow check Tbrynes site he has a few x pipes that go onto the TPIS's. Nothing wrong with putting it on your stock h-pipe either, just won't sound as smooth.

The packet mainly discussed their techniques and their coatings and I have not had a chance to watch the video yet. Did someone say that they had been quoted a lower price than the $599?

Yep I was talking to Lost he was thinking they were another header that just had jet hot coating on them.
I agree if you live in a high rust area, drive the **** out of the car, show it on a regular basis then the stainless maybe a better option. But from a performance per $$ this maybe a nice alternative. Plus if you ever do decide to go stainless its pretty easy to sell performance parts for Vettes.
Well im not sure about the fit on vettes becasue that was on my fbody
I live in Texas which is not a really high rust area, but they still rusted.
All im saying is, I didnt pay this much for this car to turn around and put some cheap headers that are going to rust on me. Ill just save my pennys and get some LGs or TPIS.

I installed a set of Jet Hot's back in Dec. alng with my heads and cam. They fit well and so far so good with the coating. I have had Jet hot coating before and never had a problem. I also like that the headers cool down quickly if I need to get under the hood.
I really wanted the LG headers but I needed a set of NittoR2's for road coarse use at the same time. I really like LG and had alot of his parts on my Camaro but the headers are a little pricey for me right now.
