Default Vette Question

Ok guys I've got a question for you vette guys.

I've had my f body for 2 years now and I know what it takes to run them at the strip. My question is how good are vette's at the drag strip?? I'll admit I'm rather ignorant about this. I know that the 03-04 Cobra's have a hell of a time with their irs getting traction with all the wheel hop and all, do vette's have the same problem??

Thanks.

No wheel hop issues with my Z06. My 2000 SS had a terrible wheel hop problem until I installed after market suspension equipment.

Yeah I've had the same problem with my 02 Z28. So the vettes have a pretty decent rear under them?? No worries about breaking them like the F body 10 bolt??

Auto's are a hell of a lot easier on things back there than the manual guys. If you have a manual car then might as well go ahead and spring for the hardened parts. Lots of people snaping shafts in stick cars. Mine has held up great but I have no huge stall / transbrake or clutch dumping action to worry about.

My first time to the track with my Z06 I was hitting 2.0 60' with no time in the car on stock rubber. I think they are pretty easy to launch.

Get a hardened output shaft and you should be good to go for a while. Once you make 2 or 3 passes, it's very easy to figure out how to launch our cars.
