2k Z06 headers in 98 C5?

2k Z06 headers in 98 C5? Will that set up work? I am helping a friend with his exhaust and starting to get frustrated. 
I am putting on a borla catback and the Z06 headers(2000 Z06) and it looks to me like the new ones are a little shorter than the old ones. I would have just done the catback but in the unbolting stage be broke the header exhaust flange bolts.

Well... first off there is no 2000 Z06. 2001 is the first year.
Are you talking about the stock exhaust manifolds? If so, they will bolt to the motor, but will NOT connect to the 98 H-pipe. You must use an newer H-pipe to match. Also the AIR (emissions) tubes will either have to be modified or replaced with the newer ones to get the lines to connect.
Not worth the swap in my opinion...

Thanks, I got the studs out of the stock manifolds. That was what I thought about the fitment. The car owner said 2000 so I went with it. After some rethinking and elbow grease the borla catback went on pretty smooth. Sounds nice, not too aggressive at idle. Should be nice to drive and will talk to ya when you want to hear it.
Yeah I broke one of my exhaust studs when I removed my manifolds to put on my longtubes... Was kinda a pain. Got around it eventually. We were removing it, so we cut the stud and got it out.
Borla sounds pretty good...
