well.. i finally decided to make the switch from a f body to a corvette. words cant express how happy i am with my new 2004 quicksilver z06. it has only 10800 miles and got it at wholesale price. it is bone stock and it pulls like crazy. so far i have heard and read in magazines that the 04 z06 has the best suspension of all years. i weighed it at one of the scales coming down from houston and it weighed exactly 3083lbs with half a tank of gas!!
here are a few pics of it with more to come soon!!!

i loved everything about my camaro SS, but this beast is just superb overall. i am not even thinking about what car can or can not smoke me anymore because the way i feel inside this car is something words cant explain. to those of you thinking about making the change, but worry about being " slower" than your modded f body well all i got to say is that you are buying a vehicle that does " everything" extremely well. you wont miss anything from your fbody, but perhaps not saving your hard earned money to buy a true piece of art.

Congrats, I went from a 99SS to Corvette myself.
My SS was putting down 370rwhp and the stock Z06 put down around 358rwhp, but weighs considerably less and the gears are lower in the transmission, so it was still faster than my modded SS!
Handling is insane! THe 04 Z06 set the track record at Nurburgring in Germany where all of the European car manufacturers test their cars. So it did better than Porsches and BMWs.
Enjoy.

Yea i did that too lol when I traded my 2000 Z28 for my Silver A4 C5. Loved that car but I hated the Auto. Saw my current car at a lot and traded it when I got back from Iraq. Almost looks like its got a B&B Cat Back. Either way nice car
and welcome

I've got a buyer lined up for my '02 35th SS, and will be buying a C6 to replace it. Each type of car has its plusses and minuses. The f-bodies are fun, excellent cars for the price, especially with used market prices. The Vettes are just a better built vehicle inside and out. Two different goals, same engine

Congrats on the new ride!!! I may be wrong, but it looks like you have an aftermarket exhaust? B&B or Mangnaflow if I'm not mistaken? The stock Ti exhaust had round exhaust tips and those look a little oval?
