Default New C6...Bolt-on Where to start?

Looking to start playing with a new C6. Anybody seen or have any recomendations for bolt-ons? I'm going to do either the Borla or the Corsa exhaust, but I'm not sure which yet.

I also want to get some kind of cold air intake, but it doesn't look like there is much out there yet, has anybody seen anything or have anything that I might not know abI also want to get a cooler T-stat, man Fan switches and a good tuning.

It's a slow start, but it doesn't even have 500 miles on it yet, I also need a new set of tires, the stock F1's are terrible. I couldn't get it off the line at ned last weekend with out babying it.

I'll check them out, thanks. It's a lot of fun, but not getting the numbers I wished for at the strip. But I only had 290 miles on it when I made my first run. I couldn't get it too hook up, so my biggest prob is traction, but we'll address that after I bolt a few things onto it first

Does anyone have any experience with the Blackwing cold-air package for the C6?

What color is that car? The Le Mans blue option looks a lot different on the chevrolet website.

Yeah, the car is lemans blue, it looks kind of dar in this pic but in the sunlight it looks a little brighter. The color is about half way between NBM and electron blue.

As far as the track it's kind of sad. It was running consistent 110 mph, but the et's were terrible. It hovered around 13.3-13.5 . But it only had 290 miles on it when I made these runs. My biggest problem was out of the hole. I couldn't get it to launch hard. If I took it too easy it would bog and if I was a little heavy footed it would burn. The stock F1's are terrible, but I was getting 2.2-2.3 60' times. I used to run 2.0 all day with my '01 T/A on stock F1's.

It is just a different feeling car & will take some getting used to. I like the quality of the car, it feel a lot higher quality than the C5, but it is no where near as fun to drive as a Z-06.

Deffinately, my dad had an '02 Z-06 that I probably put 8,000 miles on. THe Z-06 felt much stronger. The '05 is an (M6) with the 3.42's but no Z-51. It's a great car, but I would bet any amount of money that stock for stock the Z-06 would have no problem walking on it. This is a great car, it rides nice, it has a lot better stock shifter than the old C5, It has a better quality feeling to everything, but when you hammer on it, but IMHO it doesn't respond the way and LS6 did. So I'm going to throw some bolt-ons at it, let it break in a little more and then head back to the track.

Go to LS1speed.com; Speed Inc. They are one of our sponsors. Tom has worked up his C6. I'm sure he can answer your questions.

The LG Motorsports C6 Corvette made 460rwhp (~ 540hp engine) with ONLY the following mods: LG Motorsports long tube headers, borla stinger, LG Motorsports G5x-4 cam with upgraded valve springs, and the LS2 edit. So for a few grand you can see huge gains.

Yeah, but the X4 isn't exactly a "small" cam by any means. If he's just looking for bolt-ons right now that cam is probably a bit much for him. But it's always nice to know how certain setups are working.

Very true, however he would see close 400rwhp from LG Pro Long Tubes, and a catback. Headers aren't exactly bolt-on though.

Here's a dyno of stock v. the LG headers...

Correct. They say that the cats are only a 3-5rwhp loss though (extra $400 for cats).
