I'll play with tire pressure next time, 32 psi definitely didn't work!
BrandonSS: I slipped the clutch out while holding the rpm at 3K, then powershifted each gear at 6100 rpm. 1.80 60', 12.84 @ 104 mph. Stock 99 SS with 38K miles.

This brings up an interesting point, I have heard people who traded a C5 Z06 for a C6 and claim they thought it was as fast. I seriously doubt that.
Well I know from seeing Insom take out a Z51 06 Vette from a roll when he was just stock AND HIS IS AN 01 Z06!!!!!!! Can't wait to you C6 guys get all the bugs worked out
Anyone have any more details about this torque management problem? I have an 05 6spd on order and should have it beginning of June. I am curious what is needed to be done to not have these issues with my 6spd.

My completely stock , except for some crappy after market tires, '02 Z06 got me a best @83 F and humid 13.0 @110mph w/2.10 60'. That was my first pass. Only got worse as I got the motor heated up. In good temp. and good tires I would guess a 12.6 @114 maybe and with an HP tune.
I have dynoed 6-7 C6's both Autos and gear cars and they are really prone to heat soak.
From 180 temps to 200+ temps you can easily loose 20rwhp/tq(My 04C5 is prone to it as well but only looses around 5-10rwhp/tq)
I think a thermostat and a fan switch would be a great start to wringing out there stock potential.
The cars are only making between 317-348 rwhp bone stock(I ran a auto that made 345 and a 6spd that made 323
)
My advise is to break them in HARD!The cars that come in babied run like ***.
My guess is that the car will pick up a little HP when they release the Z06 (I think they held the cars tuning back a bit to avoid competing with the 04 Z06's)
They are a really nice car but not nearly as fast as they should be at the track.

I know I get annoyed with my Zs TM sometimes, so I cant imagine a C6. The key with an IRS car like the vette seems to be that you cannont dump the clutch or shift second hard. Its funny, if I stab the throttle in my Z (rolling into it) it will wheel hop, but if I roll into it softly it will just burn the tires. I get best results from slipping the clutch a little in first and just firmly shifting to second....forget a powershift. If you want to powershift go ahead and do it in 3rd and 4th (atleast on the Zs). My guess is that you will pick up some good MPH by shifting firm instead of powershifting. My Z also idles very hot (up to 225 deg on a hot day). From what I have read going with a 180 T-stat and the appropriate fan settings does wonders for consistency.
I would bet that tony clicks off some bottom 12s at 117 or so when he gets used to driving the car and gets rid of the electronic nannys.
My buddy has a z51 c6 6sp bone stock it went 12.41 @ 112. and i drove it for the first time and went a 12.60 @111. right now he is putting a cam in it so it should be in the high 11's. Stock it dynoed and 353rwhp and 339rwtq.
